The DC Comics superhero Green Arrow has long been one of my favorite characters, so I am anxious to see what the new series Arrow, which is based on Oliver Queen/Green Arrow, has to offer. Stephen Amell (The Vampire Diaries) stars as the titular character, a billionaire playboy whose alter ego is a vigilante who tries to clean up the streets of Starling City, the place he calls home. Like Batman, Green Arrow has no super powers, but has trained extensively for hand to hand combat and, of course, knows how to use his trusty bow and arrows. Like the long running series Smallville, which also aired on The CW, Arrow will feature appearances from other DC Comics luminaries.
Arrow premieres tonight, at 8:00pm ET, on The CW
