The critically acclaimed Gravity also won over fans in its opening weekend, earning over $55 million and breaking the record for the biggest October opening of all time. Of course, that may change when the official numbers are released tomorrow, but regardless of the final tally, the Sandra Bullock and George Clooney effort is off to a great start. Also doing well this weekend is Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2, which captured second place with an estimated $21.5 million. After ten days, the family friendly film has earned over $60 million.
