Television Spotlight: "Archer" Will Return For A Fifth Season

FX announced this week that the animated spy series Archer will return for a fifth season in 2014. The fourth season of the laugh out loud series is currently airing on FX every Thursday at 10:00 pm ET and if you are not watching, then you are missing out on one of the best comedies on television. The often risque humor may leave you speechless or perhaps wondering how the censors allowed a few recent lines to air during the episode "Once Bitten" which featured the titular character using the desert as a toilet and being bitten by a snake in a most unfortunate place. Of course, that bold humor is one of the hallmarks of the underrated series that is in serious need of Emmy attention. While some shows lose their edge after a few years, Archer is as sharp as ever and I hope that it stays around for a long time to come.
