Eric Miller was popular, smart, and the best tennis player in his area. Set on becoming a doctor, Miller takes up pre-med in college, where he falls for Ann Brier, who is also headed for med school. But when Brier doesn’t get accepted to med school, Miller changes his plans as well to stay with the woman he loves. They marry, move to North Carolina to become medical researchers, and have a beautiful baby girl. When 30-year-old Miller dies of a strange illness, doctors discover he’s been poisoned by arsenic. And as it turns out, the closest source is a supply from Brier’s lab.

My take - Residents of central North Carolina will likely remember the story of Eric Miller, who was slowly poisoned with arsenic by his wife, Ann, some 13 years ago. The tragic tale is depicted in the hour long episode of Most Likely To..., entitled "Poisoned Passions," and includes interviews with family members, investigators and reporters who covered the story. The fascinating and, at times, bizarre episode airs tonight at 9:00ET on Investigation Discovery and features reenactments of the true story, including a cold, calculating plan to murder an intelligent, personable young man who had his whole life ahead of him. "Poisoned Passions" is a fast paced, thoroughly interesting and riveting effort.
